Before And After Success Stories

The best proof isn’t found in promises or presentations. It comes from clinicians who have been in your shoes, done the work, and built practices they’re proud to run.

Transformation Of A Behavioral
Health Practice

Wonderland Behavioral and Mental Health. Independent psychiatric and mental health practice. Atlanta, GA. 2025.

The Challenge

Dr. Joan Bourne had launched Wonderland but was running in DIY mode, holding it together herself. Revenue, billing systems, compliance infrastructure, and financial forecasting were all weak. She wanted structure, clarity, and a long-term plan to grow.

The Outcome

Patient count doubled and revenue grew 825%, on a financial and operational platform built to sustain the growth.

"Jennifer doesn't just consult, she partners. She helped me stay grounded, focused, and confident through a period of rapid change."

Dr. Joan Bourne DNP, MSW, PMHNP-BC, Founder and CEO, Wonderland Behavioral and Mental Health

"Jennifer integrated herself over five months with our team of nurse practitioners to understand their work and revamp the policy and procedure manual for our network of 13 health centers serving more than 7,000 students in Title One schools. Her work was pivotal in helping the organization take the next step forward in growth and impact. This project was a good ten years ago, and it's still in use today. Jenn built the foundation for that."

Scaling Multi-Site Clinical Operations

Education Plus Health, School-Based Health Centers. Nurse-managed network in Philadelphia, PA, covering 13 health centers and more than 7,000 students in Title One schools.

The Challenge

A network of 13 school-based health centers serving more than 7,000 students needed a complete quality improvement transformation through a grant-funded initiative. The work meant standardizing clinical procedures, creating a path toward NCQA certification, developing performance tracking systems, and upgrading training, all on schedule and within the grant budget.

The Outcome

Thirteen centers transformed, more than 7,000 students served, and 100% of deliverables completed on time and on budget. The foundation proved durable: roughly a decade later, the manual and model are still in use, and the organization has presented its model and evaluation results at a conference.

Turnaround and Leadership Succession

Lincare Holdings, Respiratory Care Center. Southern Vermont, Lincare VT and NH Division.

The Challenge

A $1.1 million respiratory care center faced serious operational challenges. Several product lines were underperforming, sales were held back, staff turnover was high, and positions sat vacant. Frequent management changes had lowered morale, and FDA compliance issues added pressure. Leadership needed to stabilize operations quickly and appoint a lasting manager.

The Outcome

One of the division's most challenging locations stabilized in roughly six months, with restored compliance, rebuilt morale, and a homegrown leader still running the site today.

"In just six months, Jen turned around one of our most challenging locations, stabilizing operations, rebuilding morale, and mentoring a new manager who still leads the site today."

Tim Dodd Division Director VT and NH, Lincare Holdings

Clinicians can start a practice on their own.

The real question is how much time, money, and stress it takes, and whether the practice can stand the test of time.
